GERALDA DAVID, ESQ.

Founder and Managing Partner

Geralda David, Esq. discovered her passion for the law at an early age. After graduating with honors from Florida International University (FIU) with a B.A. degree, she went on to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney. She earned her Juris Doctorate from FIU College of Law in 2013. During law school, she broadened her legal perspective through a study abroad program in Seville, Spain.

While at FIU Law, Geralda served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where she advocated for low-income immigrant clients in matters including political asylum, citizenship, cancellation of removal, and deportation. She also worked with the Investor Advocacy Clinic, representing small investors in securities arbitration claims.

Upon entering the legal profession, Geralda found her calling in personal injury law, advocating for individuals harmed due to the negligence of others. Her practice encompasses a wide range of personal injury matters, including automobile and bicycle accidents, premises liability, defective products, slip and fall, trip and fall, nursing home abuse, wrongful death, dog bites, medical malpractice, food poisoning, prescription errors, negligent security, pedestrian accidents, construction accidents, and drowning incidents. Attorney David has successfully resolved numerous complex cases, including wrongful death claims and several six-figure settlements, with her total settlements exceeding $10 millions.

She is fluent in French and Haitian Creole, which allows her to serve a broader range of clients with compassion, understanding, and cultural sensitivity.

Geralda has proudly served on the board of the Haitian Lawyers Association for many years. Her longstanding commitment to the organization led to her current role as President. In this capacity, she remains dedicated to empowering Haitian American legal professionals and uplifting the broader community through service, advocacy, and leadership.

Ty Hinnant, Esq.

Litigation Attorney

Ty Hinnant is an attorney at David Law Office, P.A., where he focuses his practice on personal injury litigation, ranging from automobile and bicycle accidents, premises liability, defective products, slip and fall, trip and fall, nursing home abuse, wrongful death, dog bites, medical malpractice, food poisoning, prescription errors, negligent security, pedestrian accidents, construction accidents, and drowning incidents.

Originally born in Landstuhl, Germany, Mr. Ty Hinnant moved to Central Florida in 1994 and has proudly called it home ever since. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of South Florida in 2004, and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2009. After passing the Florida Bar, Mr. Hinnant began his legal career as a Plaintiff’s attorney, a role he has embraced for over fifteen years. His experience spans small firms, medium firms, and large firms, including his own private practice, and he joined David Law Office in 2024, where he litigates cases in both State and Federal Court.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hinnant has aggressively advocated for the rights of injured clients, earning recognition for his dedication and success. He has secured numerous high-value settlements and has achieved success at trial. His work has earned him accolades from respected organizations including Avvo, Super Lawyers Rising Stars, National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, and the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys’ “10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys” for client satisfaction. He was also named “Attorney of the Quarter” at a previous firm.

Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Hinnant enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children. He’s an avid soccer fan and enjoys cooking in his free time.

Louis Katz, Esq.

Of Counsel - Worker's Compensation

Louis Katz has been a member in good standing of The Florida Bar since 1994. He received his juris Doctor (J.D) degree from the New England School of Law where he was selected to the Dean’s List in 1992 and 1993. In addition, he earned a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A) from Nova University where he was selected to the National Dean’s List, and received the Freidt School of Business and Entrepreneurship Special Recognition Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement in the Masters Degree program. Mr. Katz earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree at the University of Miami.

Since becoming a member of The Florida Bar, Mr. Katz has practiced in the general area of insurance litigation with an emphasis on workers’ compensation. His representation of injured workers and fully insured clients has given him a thorough understanding of the interests of all parties allowing him to provide his clients with the best possible representation in a cost effective and time efficient manner.

Mr. Katz lectures frequently on matters involving workers’ compensation laws and is an active member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of The Florida Bar.

Louis has been a practicing attorney for over 29 years which has given him a wealth of experience and thorough understanding of the law. Louis is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and is fluent in Spanish.
